The Gulley Park Concert Series is going country this week. The weekly summer show series held weekly at the gazebo in Gulley Park will have Arkansas-based singer/songwriter and country artist Heath Sanders during the current week’s show on Thursday, July 8.
Here’s somewhat more about the artist, from his website:
Heath Sanders is an Arkansas natural gas-worker-turned-songwriter whose realness informs the music he crafts. It all started after Heath posted on Facebook his cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way” in early 2018. The video filmed in his living room would quickly transform his life as millions watched and re-shared, making Heath an overnight viral sensation among the working class communities in the Midwest and Rust Belt. Drawing upon a lifetime of early mornings and long days, Heath emerges as the new voice of folks who identify with hard work and have the sore backs and tired feet to show for it.
The Gulley Park Summer Concert Series is coordinated by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and highlights free outdoor live music with a lot of room for picnic blankets and lawn chairs all through the fields surrounding the gazebo stage at Gulley Park in east Fayetteville.
The music begins at 7 p.m., and the concerts are free and open to the public. Coolers are welcome for those who’d prefer to pack beverages, snacks or dinner, yet food merchants will likewise be set up around the park.
