Upgrades for the Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Model S are included in the 2023 Holiday Update that Tesla is currently rolling out. As we previously reported, all models now come with the Apple Podcasts app, and Tesla Vision Park Assist now features 3D images. However, older models with physical ultrasonic sensors (USS) are reportedly not able to use this feature.
Additional updates in the 2023.44.30 series include the ability to select alternate routes during a navigation session and the addition of symbols to represent stop signs, traffic lights, and speed cameras on the map. The Tesla app allows you to schedule your trip ahead of time, and if your EV’s airbags deploy, it can automatically call 911. Additionally, the blind spot camera image now has edge shading, which makes it easier to see cars before changing lanes.Parents will be happy to learn that the back touchscreen, which now supports Bluetooth headphones, can be used by passengers to play games. The Castle Doombad game, numerous updates to Tesla Arcade, and customizable lock sounds—which let you swap out the standard horn sound for sounds like a bleating goat, applause, or a quacking duck—are among the other new features.
Along with the recent recall, there have also been improvements made to the autosteer system. For example, Autopilot Suspension limits your use of the feature for a week if the vehicle detects improper usage, which is defined as five Forced Autopilot Disengagements. Furthermore, when using Autopilot mode, the cabin camera adjacent to the rearview mirror has the ability to track your level of alertness and alert you if it senses that you are not looking at the road. According to Tesla, the availability of every feature in the 2023 Holiday Update varies depending on the model and region.
