Voice Message Transcription is a new function that WhatsApp’s Android beta (beta) version offers, according to Wabetainfo.
This function enables the reading of audio communications as written texts, as the name implies.
This functionality has finally been made available to Android users after first being unveiled in test form for iOS devices in May 2023.
Users with hearing issues will find this feature helpful.
This feature will also be useful if you want to know what’s in the audio message but don’t have time to do so.
According to the source, this capability will be gradually expanded and is now available to a limited beta user base.
A screenshot of the feature, which shows that audio messages can be changed to Hindi, Hindi, English, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazil), was also included in the story.
In the near future, further language support might be added to the functionality.
In order to protect your privacy, WhatsApp will download an extra data package when you choose a language for voice message transcription.
You will be in control and nobody else will be able to access it because all audio communications will be converted to text within the device.
Since this function was only released in beta, as was previously indicated, it is difficult to predict when it will be accessible to all users.
