The cherished Audi RS6 Avant is scheduled for extinction in the near future. Luckily, Audi still intends to build aggressive, high-horsepower estate cars; the RS7 Avant will take the place of the RS6. This wagon rocketship will get major improvements in addition to a new name.
The RS7 Avant, which was spotted during testing on the streets near the Nurburgring Nordschleife, will have an as aggressive appearance as the model it replaces. Fans and potential buyers will be happy to hear that, but the new model needs to do well because BMW is preparing to threaten its dominance with the upcoming M5 Touring.
This prototype has been given a unique front fascia with two bold and eye-catching air vents in addition to a sizable singleframe grille. Even though the headlights are a little bit smaller than on the departing model, they nevertheless have an intimidating appearance because to the integrated LED daytime running lights.
Similar to earlier RS6 versions, the new model’s wheel arches are significantly broader than those of the regular A7. New black multispoke wheels are under these arches, and although they aren’t visible in these pictures, a set of massive brakes will be positioned below them.
Although Audi’s engineers have done a fantastic job of concealing the back end, two oval-shaped tailpipes that are positioned further inboard than on the existing RS6 Avant are visible. There are also new lights with a full-width light bar.
The powerplant of the RS7 Avant is not well understood. It would be logical to suppose that the RS7 will transition to hybrid systems, as performance vehicles like this one are increasingly doing. This would make sense given the prevalence of plug-in hybrid V8s across numerous VW Group brands, such as Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche.
