A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine upgrade has been made available for a select number of Audi and Lamborghini automobiles by German tuner Abt Sportsline.
TUV-approved, the Abt Engine Control system adds a significant boost in power and torque, making performance cars that are already fast even faster. The already outstanding factory numbers of 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque can now be increased for owners of the 2021–2023 RS6 Avant and RS7 to 690 horsepower and 649 lb-ft of torque.
ABT has the ability to increase the standard outputs of 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque from your V8 Audi to an amazing 710 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque if you’re fortunate enough to drive an RS6 or RS7 Performance but still want more power.
Large Power For Urus And The RS Q8
The joy hasn’t been lost on the RS Q8. The coupe SUV has the same engine as its siblings, which comes standard with 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. With the Abt update, this is increased to 649 lb-ft and 690 horsepower. It is important to remember that an upgraded RS Q8—possibly with additional power—is in the works.
Additionally, ABT has made enhancements for the Lamborghini Urus. The V8 engine of Italy’s top performance SUV is shared by a number of Audi, Bentley, and Porsche vehicles. The Lambo SUV’s 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of basic power is more than plenty for most purposes.
When operating on fuel with an octane level of 98 or higher, the super SUV can generate up to 840 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque thanks to the software change, larger turbochargers, and an upgraded intercooler. Even when drinking 93 octane, which is more earthly, it still generates 750 horsepower.
Not just the eight-cylinder engines have won Abt’s affection. The RS5’s richly toned 2.9-liter V6 engine is likewise qualified for the Engine Control enhancement. A significant improvement, 503 horsepower and 501 pound-feet, replaces the normal statistics of 444 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. Because of its improved performance, Abt needs to install an additional water radiator to make sure the car can withstand higher temperatures.
For those who need an aggressive body package to complement their performance, Abt also provides exterior improvements for the RS6, RS7, RS Q8, and Urus. Additionally, the tuner has focused on the now-canceled R8, producing a limited edition XGT of just 99 pieces.
