For tequila lovers, February 22 is a special day because it is National Margarita Day in the United States, when a drink made of tequila, ice, salt, and lemon is celebrated.
Although tequila is a Mexican drink, margaritas have become popular in America, and the country imports approximately 183 billion liters of tequila from Mexico each year, according to the National Federation of Retailers (NFR).
On this special day, hundreds of people gather in their favorite spots to celebrate this drink, which can be mixed with a wide variety of flavors.
Cantina Frida, located in Beverly Hills, California, did not miss the opportunity, as hundreds of diners toasted with margaritas ranging from the traditional flavor to some made with cucumber, lime, mango, and even jalapeño, as many customers -pointed out- go to this place for its iconic margaritas, which have already become a benchmark in California.
“It is a great honor for us to celebrate this tradition, which represents a cultural fusion of both countries”. “At Cantina Frida, we are grateful for your patronage, and we are committed to offering a wide variety of cuisine as well as national and international drinks”, said Mauricio Quintanilla Hernández, Cantina Frida partner.
Vicente del Río, another partner, highlighted that Cantina Frida is a restaurant with a family atmosphere, though they also have a special VIP area for private parties, where a wide variety of special events and renowned sponsors are held.
