Jameela Jamil will move into the Marvel-verse as she joins the cast of Disney+’s She-Hulk, Deadline has affirmed.
She-Hulk is a legal comedy that focuses on the eponymous courageous heroine (Maslany), also known as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who has comparative powers to her cousin, Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
The Good Place actress will play Titania, a supervillain first acquainted with the Marvel-verse in 1984 and made by Jim Shooter. She joins recently declared cast individuals Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Ruffalo will repeat his role as The Hulk and Roth will return as The Abomination, a character he recently played for The Incredible Hulk film.
The She-Hulk series is directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, with Jessica Gao serving as head writer.
Wonder declined to remark.
Jamil broke out as Tahani Al-Jamil on NBC’s The Good Place. Since featuring on the adored parody, Jamil has landed parts in Crossing Swords, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and DuckTales. She right now has The Misery Index and fills in as an adjudicator on HBO Max’s voguing/dance hall contest series Legendary.
