Magnolia Network, Discovery’s joint endeavor with Chip and Joanna Gaines, has added an anthology documentary series, Hi I’m, to its launch slate
The initial two episodes of Hi I’m will debut on Magnolia Network when it launches on July 15, with more episodes to come at a later date.
Every installment of the series will focus on an individual overcoming challenges and utilizing their novel life experiences to rouse them to succeed. The first episode, Hi I’m Blake, tells the story of Blake Hyland, whose life was adjusted by an awful brain injury he suffered during gymnastics practice at age 14, and follows his four-year journey of graduating secondary school and going to college. The second episode, Hi I’m Richard Antoine White, tells the story of a youngster who conquered childhood homelessness to become the first African American to acquire a doctorate in tuba performance, and follows him as he reconnects with his half-brother and different parts of his past.
Hi I’m Blake was produced by One Chameleon Entertainment in relationship with Rabbit Foot, while Hi I’m Richard Antoine White was produced by Early Light Media with worldwide rights represented by Principal Media.
The Hi I’m series joins Magnolia’s list of unscripted content across genres like home, food, gardening, design and the arts. Among the shows launching on July 15 are the Fixer Upper library as well as Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines, Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, Family Dinner, Homegrown, Restoration Road with Clint Harp, First Time Fixer, Super Dad, Inn the Works and more.
