MMA stays one of the most unusual games on earth for various reasons. Most eminently, however, probably the craziest wounds will in general happen when soldiers are punching and kicking with incompletely covered four-ounce gloves.
The most recent pieces of these wounds comes to us from Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Khetag Pilev confronted Devin Goodale and between the second and third rounds, Pilev and his corner appeared to see something wasn’t right. That something was that his correct ring finger was absent. Indeed, an individual appeared to lose one of his own fingers.
It’s as yet unclear with regards to how the finger got removed from its socket, as Goodale noted he didn’t recall it coming off at all. Goodale was proclaimed the winner by TKO after this incident. CM Punk, who was calling the event for Fight Pass, couldn’t really believe that what occurred either.
“I don’t understand exactly what happened,” Punk said. “We’re not gonna replay it for you, ladies and gentlemen, but it wasn’t a compound fracture. It wasn’t a dislocation, a break, a laceration. His finger was just gone. It’s gone. It fell off, ripped off.”
CFFC president Rob Haydak later said on the broadcast that Pilev’s finger was found inside his glove and he was shipped to the hospital to have it reattached.
