Digimon fans celebrate! During DigiFes 2021, which praises the delight of August first, the day the seven DigiDestined children were first shipped to the Digital World back in the original series, Toei Animation reported a brand new Digimon movie. To improve things, it will be founded on the Digimon Adventure 02 anime.
Incredibly little is thought about the production up until this point, yet Toei uncovered that director Tomohisa Taguchi and writer Akatsuki Yamatoya are rejoining from Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna to chip away at the new film. The story will focus on Daisuke Motomita (otherwise called Davis Motomiya in the English name), and feature the rest of the characters from Digimon Adventure 02. As per Anime News Network, producer Yōsuke Kinoshita underlined why they needed to recount a story about the 02 characters by pointing that they have a different appeal in comparison to Tai and the first Digimon Adventure kids.
The teaser offers a few clues concerning what the film might be about, as we hear Daisuke telling a story of how he and his Digimon accomplice V-mon once met a child with a Digivice, yet no Digimon with him, before he clarifies that he is “the first person to ever partner with a Digimon.” And with that, Kouji Wada’s unique opening “Target ~Akai Shougeki~” fills the trailer with sweet, sweet nostalgia.
Digimon Adventure 02 was the first direct anime sequel of Digimon Adventure. However it included a new set of main characters, the first DigiDestined frequently showed up in supporting roles, while Hikari Yagami (Kari Kamiya in the name) and Takeru “T.K.” Takaishi joined the new team as they were more youthful than the rest of the original children. The series followed a significant part of the tone and format of the original, yet additionally highlighted a hazier storyline in that of Ken Ichijouji, who had an extraordinary reclamation arc even before Zuko began hunting down Aang in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Unfortunately, as great as Digimon Adventure 02 was, Toei never truly saved it the consideration it gave the original, as the characters were totally missing from the Digimon Tri movies. Fortunately, they got their due in Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, where they by and by collaborated with the original DigiDestined in the film’s final venture. Without ruining it, the consummation of Last Evolution Kizuna makes ready for the 02 children to at long last acquire the spotlight, so hopefully this new film does precisely that.
There is no release or further cast or plot subtleties for Digimon Adventure 02.
