On January 16, 2020, the Chinese phone manufacturer Oppo F15 will make its formal debut. In the meantime, the design and a few specifications have been teasing us. Based on its appearance and specifications, the Oppo F15 appears to be a rebranded version of the Oppo A91, which was released in China last month.
A promotional poster released through official channels features a vertically arranged triple-camera in a notched pattern. Nevertheless, the back shell has a new appearance. A few important specs are also disclosed on the poster.
This 6.4-inch AMOLED screen boasts a notch that houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera, an integrated fingerprint reader, and FHD+ quality. The next phone has a decent screen-to-body ratio of 90.7%. A 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, and two 2-megapixel sensors complete the back of the camera.
According to the official Amazon.in description, the internals are powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 CPU and have 128 GB of native storage in addition to 8 GB of RAM. The page also says that the Oppo F15 would weigh 172 g and measure 160.2 X 73.3 X 7.9 mm, just like the Oppo A91. This further proves that the Oppo F15 is just an A91 that has been rebranded for use in other Asian markets.
Returning to the poster, the F15 will be powered by a 4025 mAh battery cell that is compatible with VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging. The device is probably running Color OS 6.1, which is based on the Android Pie. A 3.5 mm headphone jack and capability for an additional 256 GB of storage are included. And if the Oppo A91’s color palette is any indication, gradient shades of red, black, and blue ought to be available for the back panel.
