This year, Samsung is adding a high-end wristwatch to its Galaxy Watch collection with the “Ultra” model. Additional hardware photos and the astronomically high price tag have been leaked.
“Tim Tom 0,” a Twitter leaker, posted what seem to be authentic pictures of the “Galaxy Watch Ultra.” As was revealed in a leak earlier this month, the watch has a round display and a relatively square shape. Another feature on the right side is an orange button that may or may not rotate; in these pictures, it undoubtedly looks more like a regular button than a rotating crown.
The pictures display the watch in two color combinations: dark black/gray and white/silver. It looks like titanium is used for the watch’s chassis in both cases. An active sport band appears to be attached to both smartwatches in the image.
That is an extremely expensive price for Samsung. With a starting price of $449, the company’s previous most expensive wristwatch was the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro from 2022. Samsung’s “Ultra” would cost $699, which is only $100 less than the Apple Watch Ultra.
It looks like not much will change for the remaining models in the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup after that. The starting price for the base model would remain at $299, which is $100 higher than the recently unveiled Galaxy Watch FE and the same as the Watch 6 series. The source claims that Samsung will offer “Marbal Gray,” which is likely “marble gray,” “Cream White,” and “Forest Green” as color options; the Ultra would only come in the two aforementioned hues.
