Square Enix will have its own E3 showcase on Sunday, June 13, during the kickoff weekend for E3 2021, the organization reported Thursday.
Known as Square Enix Presents, the show will go live at 3:15 p.m. EDT/12:15 p.m. PDT on June 13. In its declaration, Square Enix called out a few items that will show up at the feature, most eminently a “world premiere” coming from Eidos-Montreal. The showcase will last around 40 minutes, and fans can watch on YouTube or Twitch.
Eidos-Montreal is the studio behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. After Mankind Divided’s launch in 2016, Kotaku and Eurogamer revealed that Eidos-Montreal was working on a new Marvel project instead of proceeding with the Deus Ex franchise. The studio’s next game is supposedly founded on Guardians of the Galaxy.
Square Enix will uncover something other than Eidos-Montreal’s most recent title at its E3 2021 show. The showcase will feature reports on Babylon’s Fall from PlatinumGames, Life is Strange: True Colors from Deck Nine, and Marvel’s Avengers from Crystal Dynamics. The latter will comprise of subtleties on the upcoming Black Panther – War for Wakanda expansion, which will at long last add Black Panther to the roster.
Thursday’s declaration didn’t specify the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 at all, which is somewhat odd, considering fans haven’t seen a large part of the game since October . While the game could in any case show up during the showcase, it’s conceivable that Square Enix might not have anything to show. With Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade coming just days in front of the show, it appears to be far-fetched that we’ll get a report on the next entry in Cloud Strife’s adventure.
Fans will get familiar with what Square Enix does — and doesn’t — need to show when E3 2021 beginnings one week from now.
