The legendary character from 2004’s “Mean Girls,” played by Rachel McAdams, made an appearance on the most recent episode of “Saturday Night Live” to introduce Reneé Rapp, a musical guest.
The principal character of the hipster buddy group “the plastics,” Regina George, is portrayed by Rapp in the musical revival of “Mean Girls,” which hit cinemas earlier this month.
After being homeschooled, Cady Heron, a new student at North Shore High School, must navigate public school and the confusing world of high school cliques. Tina Fey, a former cast member of Saturday Night Live, produces and appears in both versions of the show.
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion made an unexpected debut on the “SNL” show, joining Rapp for a performance of “Not My Fault” following McAdams’ introduction.
Later in the episode, McAdams made an appearance in a funny sketch that was presented by Jacob Elordi, a first-time “SNL” emcee and star of “Euphoria.”
Identical in appearance to the real-life “Notebook” actress, McAdams’s character in the skit claims her name is Natalie Partman, not to be mistaken with the Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman. Elordi plays the role of the working actor who isn’t too helpful and gives acting students some really bad advise.
This was the first episode of the long-running sketch program since its Christmas break in 2024.
Star of “Madame Web,” Dakota Johnson, will host the upcoming edition of “SNL,” with Justin Timberlake serving as the musical guest.
